Hi! Actually to make things clear you should say sub-Saharan Africa ... the Weasel (Mustela nivalis) is found in North Africa, and while having a longer body (20-29 cm) it is much lighter, at 125-250 g vs 210-350 g for the mongoose, and in overall length is also shorter, having a much shorter tail. But at any rate this is a beautiful photo!
